Mrs. Mary Willie Mathews, age 86 years, of 308 Army boulevard, died at a local hospital Tuesday morning. A native of Clarksville, Tenn., and a residence of New York City for the past 20 years, Mrs. Mathews came to San Antonio in January to live with her daughter, Mrs. Wallace Carnahan. Survivors are: daughters, Mrs. M. V. Hayes, Mrs. Wallace Carnahan, Mrs. E. E. Grater, Ellen Mathews and Dorothy Mathews; sons, H. P. Mathews, Jack Mathews; brother, G. T. Allinsworth; sister, Mrs. J. H. Darden. Mass will be said Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock at the St. Patrick's church. Interment in Knights of Pythias cemetery, under the direction of Porter Loring, mortician.
