CLEARWATER, S.C. - Pastor Robert T. Funk, 65, of Clearwater, SC, beloved husband of thirty-one years to Beverly Funk and son of the late Norman and Emma Thompson Funk, entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior Thursday, October 15th, 2009, with his loving and devoted family at his side. Born in Middleburg, VA, he had been an area resident of the last fifty years where he was a retired law enforcement officer. In addition to being a law enforcement officer, he was a Pastor and enjoyed witnessing to people. He was a former member of Bath Pentecostal Holiness Church and was currently a member of Sweetwater Church of God. He enjoyed fishing but more than fishing, he enjoyed spending time with his family. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Chris Funk, Aiken, SC, Kim Babb, (Tim) Beech Island, SC and Tamara Feagin, (Brennan) North Augusta, SC; brother, Lewis Funk, Augusta, GA; and grandchildren, Jared, Hannah and Nathan Babb and Ashley Funk. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Sunday, October 18th, 2009, at 3 o'clock at Bath Pentecostal Holiness Church, Bath, SC, with Pastor Bill Branch and Bishop Phillip Napier officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Graniteville, SC. Pallbearers will be J.B. Fulmer, Jimmy Free, Jack Murdick, Lonnie McCarthy, Thomas Brazell and Carl Dean Ashley. The family has asked that if so desired, memorials be made to Sweetwater Church of God, 1444 Edgefield Rd., North Augusta, SC 29860.
