Interment was in Woodman Cemetery with Thompson-Wilson Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Curbo was born on April 24, 1924 to Robert and Bessie Mae Dunn Ward.
She attended Duffel and McCrory schools and was an active and much loved member of the First Church of the Nazarene in McCrory. During her lifetime, Mrs. Curbo was employed for about 12 years at the Royal Shoe Factory and retired after 25 years at the Woodruff County Nursing Home.
She was a wonderful cook and would often appear on friends doorsteps with a cake or pie. Her granddaughter said she had magic hands and could make anything grow. She loved her family and her church and will be greatly missed by them.
Survivors include five sons; Glenn Earl Scott and wife Debra and Robert Scott of mccrory, Roger Scott and wife Belinda of Des Arc, Bobby Don Curbo and Billy "Bubba" Curbo and his wife Judy all of McCrory, one daughter, Marilyn Holder of Sherwood, four sisters: Faye Robinson and Bea Robertson of Augusta, Ann Ball of Morton and Mildred Bayer of Indiana, ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Bessie Ward, one son, Jimmy Scott, three brothers, Bufford, Sonny and Bart Blevins, and one sister, Pat Smith.
Pallbearers were Tony Holder, James Curbo, Bill Rushing, Grant Brogdon, Roger Curbo and Van Scott.
Honorary pallbearers were Fred Wilson, Glen Curtis, Ellis Reeves and Boyce Brown.
