Bonifacio Barbosa Sr. Bonifacio Barbosa Sr., born June 5, 1927 in Mission, Texas, the son of Francisco and Concepcion Barbosa; passed away on October 16, 2009. He is preceded in death by his wife Guadalupe Barbosa, brothers Rafael Barbosa, Carlos Barbosa, sister Dominga Obregon, two daughters Dominga -Barbosa- Salinas , Yolanda Barbosa, son Daniel Barbosa, and niece Alma Rosa Barbosa. Bonifacio is survived by numerous family members and friends, including his second wife Maribel Barbosa; his sons Bonifacio Barbosa Jr.(Sylvia), Hector Barbosa (Virginia), Arturo Barbosa (Maria Martinez), David Barbosa (Rachel), Javier Barbosa (Sharon), Raul Barbosa (Eubeldina Reyna), Daniel Barbosa; two daughters Yolanda Bermudez and Liliana Barbosa; step-sons Ruben, Uriel, Ulyssis Olachia and numerous grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother and two sisters Manuel Barbosa (Dolores), Rosa Barbosa and Francisca Barbosa-Berggren (Paul). The family would like to thank the numerous medical professionals who assisted with his care. Without your help, we would not have been able to enjoy the last 15 years with him. Thank You. We will miss him and we will never forget him! Visitation will be held today Sunday, October 18, 2009 at 11 a.m. at Ceballos Funeral Home in McAllen, TX. A Funeral Mass will be held Monday, October 19, 2009 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in McAllen, TX. Internment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in Mission, TX.
