Services for Patsy Kathleen Smith Carrier Broughton, 74 yrs., of Frankfort, will be conducted from Leestown Gospel Church at 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 19, 2009. Rev. Tim Jumpp will officiate. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Woodford Co. Visitation will be Sunday, October 18, 2009 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home.

She died Thursday, October 15, 2009 at Central Baptist Hospital, Lexington, following a long illness.

A native of Lee Co., Virginia, she was born, February 12, 1935 and was a purchaser for Gus Trash & Treasure Antiques. Mrs. Broughton was a member of Franklin County Senior Citizens, Ladies Ministry at Leestown Gospel Church.

She is survived by her son, Gus Carrier Jr., Frankfort; sisters, Geneva Broughton, Harlan, "Bill" Griffin, FL; and grandchildren, Bruce Lee Carrier and Gabrian Nicole Gaines.

She was the widow of Gus Carrier Sr. and Ben Broughton. Mrs. Broughton was the daughter of the late Claude and Middie Ethel Taylor Smith.

Pallbearers will be Mike Henley, Jeff Beasley, Bruce Carrier, Michael Carrier, Rev. Tim Jumpp and Joe Cummins.

Flowers are welcome or expressions of sympathy may be made to the Ladies Ministry of Leestown Gospel Church, 980 Wilkinson Blvd., Frankfort, Ky. 40601.
