Bernard J. Neunsen married Marie Thomsen. He was the father of Marlene, Carole, & Mary Jane, and 2 boys lost in miscarriage. My Grandpa's favorite love besides Grandma was his music. He loved being a muscian and played many instrument and even tried to write songs. We all loved them and that is what mattered. Grandpa played the guitar, clarinet, harmonica and the saxaphone.
In his younger years his playing music brought my Grandma and him together that is how they met.
One wonderful memory that I have with Grandpa is every Christmas he would set up his recorder on his front porch and play all his Christmas music so everyone could hear.
He was the best Grandpa any kid could have and we loved him dearly.
He was very special, he would also make lollipops made from taffy for us kids everyear also it was a tradition in his house.
Grandpa passed away 4 years after Grandma.
