Burl Eugene Griggs, 82, of Bentonville died Monday, April 14, 2008, in Las Vegas.

He was born March 10, 1926, in Garvin County, Okla., to William Luther and Lillie Edna Griggs. He was a truck driver for the Fleming Co. in Oklahoma City for 23 years and a luxury home builder in Bella Vista. He also worked in loss prevention for Wal-Mart, drove security patrol at the Walton home and worked at the Country Tonight Theatre in Branson, Mo.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma.

Survivors include two sons, Richard L. Griggs of Venice, Fla., and Roger E. Griggs of Oklahoma City; a daughter, Ramona G. Pavlas of Las Vegas; two brothers, Ira Griggs of Oklahoma City and Clyde Griggs of Checotah, Okla.; a sister, Elzada McGee of Pauls Valley, Okla.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

There will be no visitation.

Funeral services will be at 10: 30 a. m. Monday at Bella Vista Church of Christ with Randall Caselman officiating. Burial will be in Bentonville Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Gospel Tracts International, 4977 E. Huntsville Road, Fayetteville, AR 72701.
