McCAY, Peter Waggoner - Peter W. McCay, aged 70 years, died shortly after midnight Wednesday of paralysis. Funeral services will be held this Thursday afternoon. Burial will be made in the Bentonville Cemetery. Mr. McCay was born in Indiana in 1862 and has been a resident of Bentonville for many years. Besides his widow he is survived by a son, John McCay, and three daughters, Mrs. Dale Boling, Mrs. Carrie Looney and Mrs. Boyer of Bentonville.[Benton County Record & Democrat & Sun - Bentonville, Benton County, Arkansas - September 29, 1932]

Peter Waggoner McCay, aged 70. a former member of the Bentonville city council and a highly respected citizen, died at his home on East E Street about 1 o'clock Wednesday morning following a stroke of paralysis suffered early Tuesday and another Tuesday night, and failing health of the past year or so. He was down town only a day or so before he died. Mr. McCay and family came to Bentonville about 16 years ago from near Enid, Okla. and he still had farming interests in that state. He was born in Indiana and was the son of Abner McCay. His mother's maiden name was Waggoner. Besides his wife Mr. McCay, is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Dale Boling, Mrs. Roy Boyrer and Mrs. Herbert Looney, all of Bentonville; by one son, John PEter McCay, aged 10, and by a number of grandchildren. Funeral services are being held this afternoon at the family residence, conducted by the Rev. Dwight Lewis, pastor of the Bentonville Christian Church.
