Edward Macauley was born in Ireland about 1838. Parents were Edward and Bridget Macauley. Edward married Mary Jane Carpenter in St. Louis December 20, 1863 at the Old Cathedral. After the marriage they moved to Golden Eagle, Illinois where they made their home. Five children: Mary, Edward, Thomas, Charles F. and a child died 1910 in infancy. The wife and children mourn his death. Burial in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Brussels, Ill.
