A native of Bristol, Vt., and a resident here 26 years, Mrs. Capes was a member of Old Bethel United Methodist Church and Goodland Chapter of Order of the Eastern Star.
She was the widow of Willard B. Capes.
Surviving are a son, Paul E. Capes, and a daughter. Mrs. William Douglas, both of Indianapolis.
