Leonard Evan Jameson was called "slim". He was a private in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1920 to 1923. He served in Haiti during the period in Marine Corps history known as "The Banana Wars", and he was the recipient of the "Good Conduct" medal. While in the Marine Corps, he stood watch over the sasket of Warren G. Harding, after the President's death. He later worked for Hetch Hetchy at Moccasin.
