Laurie Tran Passes at an Early Age

On Sunday, May 8th, Laurie Tran, son of Mr. and Mrs. David Tran, 8th concession of Pickering, passed away following an illness of two months duration. He was in his 31st year. The deceased attended Public School at Atha and High School at Claremont. He was a member of the Locust Hill Church.
Besides his parents, he leaves to mourn his passing a brother Joe and a sister, Isobel (Mrs. Gordon Overland). Funeral services will be held on Tuesday afternoon at 2 p.m. from Dixon Chapel, Markham, conducted by Rev. King of Locust Hill United Church with interment in the Locust Hill cemetery. The pallbearers were Messrs John Underwood, Carl Cowie, Ellis Merton, Don Dunkeld, Wesley Johnson and Dr. Wm. Fleming.
