He was a farmer & laborer. He helped build the dam on Texoma Lake. He was in charge of a number of German prisoners during WWII and the prisoners helped build the dam. Later he owned & operated a grocery store in downtown Rush Springs, Oklahoma. He lived in the Rush Springs until his death in 1979.
