She was widowed in 1918 by the death of her first husband Sidney Davis(married July 19, 1896 in Gratztown, Pa), leaving her with 13 children. She later married Wm. Simmons.
Mrs. Neva Davis Simmons, 83, died in the home of her son, David Simmons, of Finleyville, R. D. she was born May 28, 1880 in Gratztown. Surviving are four daughters and five sons, including Mrs. Catharine Waltonbaugh, Mrs. Pearl Waltonbaugh, Mrs. Marie Hughes, and Kenneth Davis of West Newton, and David Simmons of Finleyville; 23 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
