Son of the late Sidney James (Buck) Brown, he served in the U.S. Navy in Vietnam for four years and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Social Circle, and enjoyed playing the piano there, as well as Pleasant Valley Methodist Church in Monroe.
Mr. Brown also enjoyed reading and computers.
Survivors include his mother, Delua Brown of Social Circle; sister and brother-in-law, Ruth B. and Grady Lemonds, of Social Circle; nieces, Emily Holmes and Marci Griffin; and nephew, Tim Lemonds.
Funeral services for Mr. Brown were held on Oct.18 at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, Covington, with the Rev. W.C. Tribble and the Rev. Harold Gilbert officiating and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Children‘s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN, 38105.
