Services for Clarence Ray Hastings, 73, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Whitesboro with Rev. Allen Phillips officiating. Mr. Hastings died Thursday, Oct. 22, 2009 at his home in Collinsville. Interment will follow in Collinsville Cemetery
Survivors include his wife, Eyvone Hastings of Collinsville; sons, William Eugene Hastings of Tulsa, Okla. and Robert Lee Hastings of Bluejacket, Okla.; daughters, Sherri Jean Prewitt of Galena, Kan. and Jo Ann Bergman of Vinita, Okla.; sisters, Louise DeCocq of Sand Springs, Okla. and Edith Wimbish of Greenwood, Ark. 19 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.


COLLINSVILLE, Texas Funeral Services for Clarence Ray Hastings, 73, will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 24, 2009 at Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Whitesboro with Rev. Allen Phillips officiating. Interment will follow in Collinsville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 23, 2009 at the funeral home.
Clarence passed away on Thursday, October 22, 2009 at his home in Collinsville.
He was born in Drumwright, Oklahoma on April 30, 1936 to William Clarence and Mamie Vivian (Johnson) Hastings. He married Eyvone Calvert on March 10, 2003 in Whitesboro. Clarence worked as a nurse assistant at Vinita State Hospital in Vinita, Oklahoma for 23 years. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Whitesboro. Clarence also served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He loved to play the guitar in church and at nursing homes.
Survivors include his wife, Eyvone Hastings of Collinsville; 2 sons, William Eugene Hastings of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Robert Lee Hastings of Bluejacket, Oklahoma; 2 daughters, Sherri Jean Prewitt of Galena, Kansas and Jo Ann Bergman of Vinita, Oklahoma; 2 sisters, Louise DeCocq of Sand Springs, Oklahoma and Edith Wimbish of Greenwood, Arkansas; 19 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Donald Ray Hastings and a granddaughter.
Pallbearers are Billy Hastings, Joseph Prewitt, Jeremy Hastings, Shane Livingston, Tim Eason and Quincy Eason
