Amelia first married Thomas H. Goldring on April 2, 1888 In Montague, Muskegon, Michigan. They had two children: Clara born 1888 and Glennwood born 1890.

After Thomas's death, Amelia 28y married Peter Peterson age 32, a clergyman and who was married prev. and had a son; Emilie Goldring, 29 of Grand Rapids, MI born in Germany-Domestic Minister: Adam Clark Witness were Emma Meyer and Harry Van Den Berg both of Holland. They had one daughter-Charlotte Amelia Peterson b. 1899, she married Aaron Willard /Keeley in 1930 and she died in 1985 in Holiday, Pasco, Fl.

On November 27, 1907 in Grand Haven, Ottawa, Michigan, Amelia 37y married Thomas Ellsworth Souter. From this union 1 child was born: Raymond Thomas Souter in 1913

Mrs. Amelia Souter, 81, wife of the late Thomas E. Souter, died Thursday afternoon at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Souter, 234 West 18th St. Death was caused by heart condition. She had been ill since Jan 2 when she suffered a stroke.

Mrs. Souter was born July 19 1869, in Germany to the late Mr. & Mrs. Fred (Carl) Meyer. She came here at the age of 12. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Aaron Keeley of Pontiac and Mrs. August Van DeVeene of Portland; one son, Ray, of Holland; six grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Esther Frundt of Holland and Mrs. Ted Steffens of Seattle, Wash.; two brothers, Paul and Ernest Meyer of Kalamazoo.
