Mrs. Amelia Souter, 81, wife of the late Thomas E. Souter, died Thursday afternoon at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Souter, 234 West 18th St. Death was caused by heart condition. She had been ill since Jan 2 when she suffered a stroke.
Mrs. Souter was born July 19 1869, in Germany to the late Mr. & Mrs. Fred (Carl) Meyer. She came here at the age of 12. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Aaron Keeley of Pontiac and Mrs. August Van DeVeene of Portland; one son, Ray, of Holland; six grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Esther Frundt of Holland and Mrs. Ted Steffens of Seattle, Wash.; two brothers, Paul and Ernest Meyer of Kalamazoo.
