Hilda Juline Engebretson 85, died Friday October 20, 1978 at the Good Samaritan Home in Clearbrook.

Mrs. Engebretson was born in Toten, Norway, on May 18, 1893 to parents Sigvart and Hannah Christianson.

She came to the United States with her family in 1911 and first settled in Bagley. She moved to Clearbrook before her marriage to Henry Engebretson which took place in Clearbrook on January 26, 1915. She continued living in Clearbrook for her entire life.

She was a member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, a charter member of the church ALCW, active in the church circles, a Good Samaritan Home Auxiliary member and a former member of the Clearbrook Legion Auxiliary. She lived the past six months at the Good Samaritan Home in Clearbrook.

Survivors include five daughters, Helen and Hazel Engebretson of Clearbrook; Verna, Mrs. James Eidem of Bloomington; Bernice, Mrs. Quentin Bieter of Sebeka; a sister that the family raised as a daughter, Mrs. Olga Falk of Blackduck; a sister Mrs. Marie Sande of Seattle, Washington; one brother, Christ Christianson, Bagley; 14 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Engebretson was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Henry in 1946, one son, one brother and three sisters.

Interment Silver Creek Cemetery
