While he had been ill for the pat two weeks his condition was not regarded as serious. He took a sudden turn for the worse two days ago. His unexpected death came as a distinct shock to the community.
Mr. Allebaugh, a son of the late S.R. Allebaugh, spent his entire life in the Lacey Spring community. He was born and reared on the Allebaugh home place where he died. He had hundreds of friends in the Lacey Spring area and in other sections of Rockingham county.
Mr. Allebaugh never married. He is survived by two brothers, S.R. Allebaugh of Lacey Spring and Mike A. Allebaugh of Harrisonburg.
Funeral services will be held from the home Friday afternoon at 2:30. Interment will be in Lacey Spring Cemetery.
The pallbearers will be S.E. Zirk, William R. Sellers, W.F. Nicholas, H.B. Bowman, C.E. Long, H.H. Martz, R.L. Yancey amd E. Summers.
