Glenn was the son of Stan and Jean McWhinnie and he was educated at McMaster University, Hamilton, Ontario Canada.

A computer programmer, entrepreneur and a member of the Fallbrook Newcomers.

In 1997 Glenn met Cynthia, the woman of his dreams and it wasn't long before they married and travelled to Australia for their honeymoon.

Glenn suffered a series of strokes, the last one taking his life at the young age of 47.

Rest in peace my friend.

BEHIND THE STORY

Back in 1995 not many people had a computer at home and of the lucky ones who did very few had access to the internet.

There were small communities of people who "chatted" and exchanged ideas and information, always trying to help each other to learn more about this wonderous Internet.

Glenn, Cynthia and myself were a part of that early group and that was where we met.

When they married and came to Australia for their honeymoon I was lucky enough to meet them in person.

Thank you to everyone who has visited this memorial and left a token in memory of my friend Glenn.
