Dale. S. Taylor passed away on Tuesday, March 4, 2008, in
Deer Park,following a massive stroke.

Dale was born on Oct. 26, 1933, in Snoqualmie, Wash., and lived there with his family until age 16. He graduated from Walla Walla Valley Academy in College Place, Wash., in 1951. He attended Walla Walla College one quarter before being inducted into the military. Corporal Taylor served in the U.S. Army from May 1953 to May 1955 in the United States and in Korea. He received a Korean Service Medal, a United Nations Service Medal, a National Defense Service Medal, and a Good Conduct Medal for his service.

Dale worked as a mason for 55 years and began his own company, T & O Masonry, along with his partner, Richard Opp, in 1960. He loved Nascar, deer hunting, fishing and gardening.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents, C. Irene Ingram and Robert S. Taylor, and by his oldest sister, Beverly Bartel. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Diane (Biggar); his four children, Karen Taylor of Napa, Ken (and Melinda) Taylor of Napa, Teri (and Barry)Stimmel of
Loma Linda, and Sandy (and Ed) Simanton of Sioux Falls, SD; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, including his special boys, Justin and Jamie; by his sisters, Barbara Schleede of Pendleton, Ore.,
Bertie (David) Decker of Angwin, Merly (Del) Brown of Walla Walla, Wash., as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Viewing will be held on Saturday, March 8, from 2-3 p.m., at the Scales Memorial Chapel (Pacific Union College Seventh-day Adventist Church). On Saturday, March 8, at 3 p.m., a celebration of Dale's life will be held in the Pacific Union College Church, #10 Angwin Ave., in Angwin.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, March 10, at noon, in the St. Helena Cemetery, 2461 Spring St.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Dale's honor to Gospel Heritage Foundation, P.O. Box 1358, Placerville, CA 95667; or to Foothill Elementary School Worthy Student Fund, 711 Sunnyside Road, St. Helena, CA 94574. Condolences may be written to the family at
