St. Helena - Donna Leone Opp, age 51, died Thursday at her home on Deer Park Road after a long illness.
She was born Dec. 19, 1930 in Conde, S.D. and at the age of four moved with her family to Minneapolis, Minn., where she grew up and attended schools.
While attending Union College in Lincoln, Neb., she met Richard Opp and they were married there in 1958. They moved to St. Helena in 1959 and her husband, with his partner, Dale Taylor, owned and operated the Taylor and Opp Masonry. Mrs. Opp's husband died Dec. 27, 1979.
She was a member of the Elmshaven Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Surviving Mrs. Opp are her three children, Laurie, Troy and Bruce, all of St. Helena; her father, harold Rossow of St. Helena; one sister, Lois Prusia of Denver, Colo.; two brothers, Gerald Rossow of St. Helena and Curtis Rossow of Tujunga.
Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, at 11 a.m. at the Elmshaven Seventh-day Adventist Church under the direction of Morrison Funeral Chapel of St. Helena.
Interment will be private in the St. Helena Cemetery.
Donations to the Voice of Prophecy Radio Broadcast are preferred.
