Mrs. Mary Elizabeth "Mayme" (Rock) Cammock, 69, died Tuesday, May 26, 1970, at Presbyterian Intercommunity Hospital (Sky Lakes Medical Center), Klamath Falls, Oregon, where she had been a patient since suffering a stroke May 21st.
Mrs. Cammock was born Feb. 25, 1901, in Dickinson, ND. On April 1, 1918, in Roundup, Mussellshell County, Mont., she was married to Alexander K. Cammock, who survives. They lived in Billings, Mont. for 33 years before moving to Klamath Falls in 1951. The family home is at 2024 Vine Ave.
She was a 10 year member of the Midland Grange and active in many of its departments. Three years ago she received an award of Lecturer of the State of Oregon. She also was recognized on the national level for her work in this area. She devoted much time to youth activities and for many years was drill captain for the Midland Junior Grange.
In addition to grange activities, Mrs. Cammock was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Midland Extension Unit, Catholic Daughters of America, Billings chapter of Friendly Circle, and Royal Neighbors of America in which she was a past district deputy.
Mrs. Cammock is survived, in addition to her widower, by two daughters, Mrs. Stanley (Kathryn E.) Smith, Midland, Oreg. and Mrs. Paul (Violet E.) Kinsfather, Casper, Wyo., brother, Paul C. Rock, Sr., Klamath Falls, Oreg., sisters, Julia Crable and Florence McVaigh both Eugene, Oreg. and Cora Meyers, Billings, Mont. and six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be Thursday at 8 pm in Ward's Klamath Funeral Home. Requiem Mass will be at Sacred Heart Catholic Church Friday at 2 pm. Concluding services will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, May 29, 1970.
