EAST CORINTH - Ronald V. Campbell, 59, the husband of Nancy (Ames) Campbell, died unexpectedly Jan. 25, 1996 at a Bangor hospital. He was born Sept. 21, 1936 in East Corinth, the son of Vernon and Della (Clark) Campbell. He was a graduate of East Corinth Academy, Class of 1955 and had been a thirty five year employee of the Maine Air National Guard, retiring in 1989 as a Master Sargent. He was a member of the East Corinth United Methodist Church and greatly enjoyed playing golf and riding the roads of Maine with his dog, Toby. Surviving in addition to his wife of East Corinth are three daughters, Tammy Campbell of Phoenix, Arizona, Laurie McKinnis and her husband, Danny of China, Valerie Campbell of Brewer; two sons, Jeffrey of Hudson and Eric of East Corinth; a brother, Clifford and his wife, Bonnie of Linneus; a sister, Marie Burleigh and her husband, Clarence of Sebec Lake and Thonotosassa, Fla., seven grandchildren, Chelsey, Heather and Michelle McKinnis, Brad Gabrielle, Jacob and Derek Ward and Ronald's dog, Toby. Friends may call Saturday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home, East Corinth. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday at the East Corinth United Methodist Church with Rev. Michael Pike officiating. Spring burial will be in the Corinthian Cemetery, East Corinth. The family requests those who wish to make donations in his memory to the Jaws of Life Fund may send them to the Corinth Volunteer Fire Dept., % Lyford Dow, P.O. Box 75, East Corinth, ME 04427. Envelopes will be available from the Funeral Director.
