Wife of: Walter Claud Huff, Jr.
Children: Nancy Beth Huff Stephens, Steven Dee, and Marleen Kay.
Daughter of: Wayne Denison and Gladys Edna Hall Denison.
Daughter-in-Law of: Walter Huff,Sr. and Louise Sudmeyer Huff.

From Funeral Card:
Verva Denison was born June 8, 1923 in Wellman, Iowa to Wayne and Gladys Denison, who along with her brother, Gerald, enjoyed a rural farm life learning the value of hard work and faithful commitment to family and community.

After graduating from high school in Keswick, Iowa, Verva moved to Ottumwa to attend business college. It was there in 1946 where she caught the eye of a young navy man, Walter Huff, who knew he had a good catch after the first fried chicken dinner. He wooed her to Corpus Cristie, Texas , where they married September 28th, and the two embarked on a life-long adventure moving from coast to coast and everywhere in between.

Verva was a homemaker extraordinaire - raised three children, Nancy, Steve and Marleen, was an accomplished cook, gardener, and seamstress, and cultivated friendships in every port through many a bridge game, shopping spree, neighborhood party and family outing.

Verva and Snuffy retired to Sun City in 1974, where her artistic talents and organizational skills became evident in clay club. She taught many classes, and her pottery was recognized by peers and professional artists at juried shows.

Verva was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Our lives have been richly blessed through her.
