Ralph Hall, 74, of Amarillo died Friday, Oct. 23, 2009.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2101 N. Coulter St., with Bishop Blain Barton officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Rose Hill Cemetery in Tulia by Cox-LaGrone Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive.

Ralph Hall was born April 17, 1935, in Preston, Idaho, to William Carl and Pearl Jensen Hall. Ralph's youth was spent on the family farm that bordered the Bear River near Preston.

Ralph married Linda Davis in 1974, in Amarillo. As a young adult he worked for the forest service in Idaho. He surveyed for the Idaho Highway Department as well.

For a short time, he was a draftsman in Oklahoma City. Ralph also worked harvesting grain crops for a number of years. He purchased a farm in Swisher County in Texas, which he operated for 24 years. Ralph will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Carl Hall and Kenneth Hall; and three sisters, Alice Robinson, Grace Byington and Ethel Hall; and his first wife, Caroline La Fever.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Hall; his mother-in-law, Rose Davis of Amarillo; two brothers, Ross Hall of Preston and Bill Hall of Oakley, Idaho; two sisters, Doris Dustin of Pocatello, Idaho, and Stella Hanson of Providence, Idaho. He loved and was loved by countless number of nieces and nephews on both sides of the family.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Building Fund, 2101 N. Coulter St., Amarillo, TX 79106.
