Ogden, Oct. 22- Mrs. Annie Catherine Peterson, 90, resident of Utah since 1873, died Saturday at 2:20 a.m. at the residence of a daughter. Mrs. Edward E. Stodtmeister, 3167 Kiesel ave.
She was born July 12, 1859, in Denmark, daughter of Christian Hoxer and Mette Marie Eliason Nielson. She came to Utah at 14 years of age with her mother as a convert to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Their first home was in Huntsville.
She was married to Hans J. Peterson in the Salt Lake LDS temple Nov. 2, 1874, in 1888 they moved to Kanesville, Weber county. In 1902 they moved to Ogden, where Mr. Peterson died Aug. 30, 1902.
She had been active in Relief society work.
Survivors include three sons and two daughters: Samuel and Ezra Peterson, Mrs. Charles (Elvina) Mortenson and Mrs. Ester Stodtmeister, Ogden; Dr. John C. Peterson, Manhattan, Kansas; 17 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 1 p.m. at Myers and Fougler funeral chapel by Raymond Wright, first counselor, Weber LDS Stake. Friends may call at the funeral chapel Sunday from 5 to 9 p.m. and Monday until time of services. Burial in Ogden city cemetery will be directed by Malan mortuary.
