Andrew J Sukowatey, (sic) 77, of 1020 Buffalo St. Manitowoc, a retired St. Nazianz farmer, died Wednesday at Holy Family Hospital there after a short illness.

Born August 27, 1885, in St. Nazianz, he was the son to the late Andrew Sukowatey and Barbara Fischer. He attended schools in the area and operated a farm there all his life.
He married the former Agnes Kautzer there on May 21, 1912. She preceded him in death. Mr. Sukowatey was a member of the Citizens Club of Manitowoc

Surviving are four sons, Herbert, R. 1, Newton, Edward, R. 1, Valders, Raymond R. 1, Cleveland, and Andrew W., R. 2, Two Rivers; seven daughters, Sister Mary Elinore of New Ulm, Minn.; Mrs. Raymond (Loretta) Leonhardt and Mrs. Frank (Rosella) Wellert of Sheboygan; Miss Marcella Chicago; Mrs. Irene Powalish, Manitowoc; Mrs. Orville (Evelyn) Krebsbach of Peebles and Miss Imelda R. 1 Valders; three brothers, Joseph of Milwaukee; Mathew of Cross Plains, Wis.; and Max, River Falls; one sister, Mrs. Anna Hornick Sheboygan; and 27 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at the Leshke-Bergner Funeral Home in Manitowoc and at St. Gregory’s Catholic Church, St. Nazianz. Burial will be made in the church cemetery.
