Information from Find A Grave Contributor - C. Hilderbrand: His first wife was Amanda (Ashby) Godbey who died in 1885. He married his second wife,Jane "Jennie" (Baker) Godbey on Feb. 25, 1886 in Warrick Co., Indiana. He was the father of 4 children; two sons and two daughters. During 33 years of ministry his records showed he baptized more than two thousand persons and received on probation three thousand or more members.
