SHREVEPORT, LA - Mrs. Ruby Dean Anderson was called home by her lord on Sunday, August 27, 2000 after a brief illness. Ruby was born on November 17, 1921 in Ashland, LA. She enjoyed sewing and cooking and was a retired waitress. She especially enjoyed her family.
She was preceded in death by parents Tillman and Sally Owens, brother Edgar Owens and her beloved husband Wayne Anderson. She is survived by sons, Blaine Anderson, David Anderson and wife Marie, and Roger Anderson and wife Bonnie, and daughter Kelly Anderson, all of Shreveport, LA; brothers R.L. Owens and wife Rachel of DeBerry, TX, Jack Owens of Bossier City, LA; sisters Othella Cox of Blanchard, LA and Lula Morris of Shreveport, LA; grandsons, Wade Halverson, C.J. Anderson, Tommy Anderson, and John Norris; granddaughters Jenifer Anderson, Kristie Anderson, Rachel Anderson; step-granddaughter Misty Barnes; and one great-grandson, Tony Halverson and numerous other relatives and friends.
Pall bearers will be Jay Owens, Bobby Humphries, Avery Glass and nephews Michael Cox, John Owens, and Bill Owens.
Services will be held on Wednesday, August 30, 2000 at 10 a.m. at Rose-Neath Southside Chapel. Officiating the services will be Rev. Everett Miller of DeBerry, TX and Chaplain Tom Edmonds of Hospice Care of Louisiana. Burial will be at Reeves Cemetery in Logan, TX. Visitation for family will be Monday, August 28th from 5-9 p.m. and for friends on Tuesday, August 29th from 5-9 p.m.
The family would like to thank the staffs of Schumpert Adult Day Care Center and Heritage Manor South Alzheimer's Unit for their care.
