George Washington Baity was born on 2 Feb 1803 in Rowan County North Carolina, he died on 3 July 1872 making him 69y 5m 1day old. His father was David Isom Baity and mother was Sarah Hendricks Baity, both of North Carolina. His twin brother was Enoch Baity, who died on 18 May 1851 in Richland Township, Macon County, Missouri. George had six younger brothers and two younger sisters, all of whom stayed in North Carolina, except twin Enoch.
George married Mary "Polly" Beaman on 8 Dec 1828 in Rowan County NC. They had no children, but several nephews did live with them from time to time. George purchased 80 acres of land in Hancock County on approximately 4 Nov 1834.
