Clarence E. White

Funeral services for Clarence E. White of El Reno were 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 9, 1998, in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Burrel McNaught officiated. Burial with military honors was in the El Reno Cemetery.

Clarence died Nov. 7, 1998, at Park View Hospital. He was born Dec. 4, 1915, North of El Reno. Clarence was a 1933 graduate of Yukon High School. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Clarence White married Irene Chappell on Aug. 22, 1942, in the Methodist Church in Tullahoma, Tenn. Clarence was a retired farmer and had lived in the Banner area many years before moving to town. Mr. White served on the Banner Co-Op Board, Banner Election Board and was a charter member of the Mineral Owners Association.

Clarence was preceded in death by his parents, Edd and Amanda (York) White; brothers, Elmer and Alvin White, and sister, Ada VanGundy.

Survivors include his wife, Irene White of the home; daughter, Lelah Neathery and husband, Joe of El Reno, brother, Earl White of El Reno; sister, Mrs. Ralph (Mae) Ping of Yukon; twin grandsons, Chad and Tommy Neathery, both of El Reno.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, Oklahoma Division, Inc., 3000 United Founders Way, Suite 136, Oklahoma City, Okla. 73112.
