Marry Jesse Meredith was born 29 June 1862, at Bentonsport, IA and died 9 Sep 1931 at Oshkosh, NE at age; 69Y, 2M, 10D.
On 19 Aug 1880 at Peaksville, MO she married Edgar C. Spillman. They lived there for many years, moving to Bentonsport, IA, coming to Eustis, NE in 1883, where they homesteaded 5 miles west of town.
Here they lived for 20 years and with other early settlers helped develop this area, leaving in the spring of 1904 for Garden County where they filed on a Kinkaid land grant 12 miles north of Oshkosh.
They moved to Oshkosh on 29 Sep 1925 to live with their daughter, Mrs. Grace Miller. The following day Mr. Spillman passed away suddenly. From that date on Mrs. Spillman lived with her daughter, death followed a four-week illness.
Five daughters survive; Mrs. Gertie Dolson and Mrs. Blanche Dolson of Broadwater, NE, Mrs. Ethel Gregoire of Lisco, NE., Mrs. Grace Miller and Mrs. Faye Roudebush of Oshkosh, NE.; 6 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild.
Services were held from the Lutheran church of Oshkosh on 10 Sep, burial was made in the Antelope Valley Cemetery beside her husband.
