She was a resident of Houston for many years.
While in Houston she was a member of Loyal Baptist Church in Houston, a member of Viola Caldwell Chapter #323 Order Eastern Star, Life member of Gamma Sigma Chapter, Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Member of National Counsel of Negro Women, and a retired teacher of Houston I.S.D.
She was survived by a brother McMiller Barnett, brother-in-law Jimmie Kelley, sister-in-law Cleola Renfro.
Funeral services at Rockhill Baptist Church in Jasper with burial in Magnolia Springs Cemetery.
