Florence C. Raleigh, age 86, of rural Monticello, MO, died March 1, 2007, in the Scotland County Care Center in Memphis, MO.

She was born February 25, 1921, in Buffalo, NY, a daughter of Joseph and Sophie Nalapa Laskowski. She married Redmond Raleigh in Buffalo on May 9, 1945. He preceded her in death on December 31, 1985.

Florence was a member of the Shrine of St. Patrick in St. Patrick, MO, were she belonged to the Daughters of Isabella for over 50 years and the Society of St. Vincent DePaul.

Survivors include one son Michael Raleigh and his wife Sandy of La Grange, MO; three daughters Mary Jo Kirchner and her husband Harold of Downing, MO, Teresa Ferguson and her husband Garry of La Grange, and Margaret Dinwiddie and her husband Gerry of New London, MO; six grandsons John Ferguson of O'Fallon, MO, Jeff Kirchner of Edgar, WI, Ian Kirchner and his wife Teresa of Memphis, MO, Andrew Raleigh and Alan Raleigh both of La Grange and Adam Dinwiddie of New London; five granddaughters, Kim Ferguson of Lancaster, TX, Sara Voss and her husband Darren of Dorchester, WI, Christine Kirchner of Downing, Nikki Dinwiddie of Quincy, IL, and Andrea Garner and her husband Dan of Las Vegas, NV; five great-grandchildren Gabe Garner, Erin Voss, Mason Voss, Gavin Voss and Corbin Kirchner and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four sisters, and three brothers.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held March 5, 2007, at the Shrine of St. Patrick in St. Patrick, MO, with Father Paul Hartley officiating. Burial was in the St. Patrick Cemetery. Music was provided by organist Ellen Krueger and vocalist Lillian Kalina.

Pallbearers were John Ferguson, Andrew Raleigh, Alan Raleigh, Adam Dinwiddie, Ian Kirchner and Jeff Kirchner. Honorary pallbearers were Joe Kirchner, Norris Hinton and Stanley Boltz.

The family suggests memorials be made to the St. Patrick Cemetery Perpetual Care Fund.
