Graveside service for Sadie R. Burns, 86, of Bridgeport will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 8, at East Bridgeport Cemetery. Ray Cook will officiate. Visitation was to be from noon to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Hawkins Funeral Home.
Burns died Monday, Sept. 5, 2005, in Bridgeport.
Born Sept. 4, 1919, in Paradise, she was a homemaker and a member of the Pleasant View Baptist Churc h.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Aubrey Burns; and three brothers, J.A. Allison, O.C. Allison and T.B. Allison.
She is survived by a nephew, Harold Allison, of Bridgeport; and numerous other nephews, nieces and cousins.
