News of Shelby County Soldiers and Sailors.
--Among the Shelby county boys of Co. C, 354th Inf., Camp Funston, who returned to their homes last Saturday night on a four days furlough were Harvey Adams, John Shcuette, Grover Grubb, Percy Forman, Harry Callison and Albert Cherry. They report that the Shelby county boys are all doing fine and that the quarantine was lifted last Tuesday.

The following boys received their discharges from the Armed Forces during the past week, Roy D. Bigelow, Frank Glasscock, Raymond Watkins, John Schuette, and William M. White.

Shelby County Herald, Shelbyville, Shelby, Missouri September 6, 1978.

--John F. Schuette, 88, Shelbina, died at 5:30 p.m. at Fulton Hospital where he had been a patient for two years. He was a retired farmer.
--Mr. Schuette was born September 6, 1890 in St. Louis, Mo., a son of Ferdinand and Julia Peoples Schuette. He was married to Lucille Shofstall, February 13, 1920 in Macon, Mo., who survives him.
--Also surviving are one brother, George Schuette, Fulton, Mo.; two sisters, Mrs. John Latchford, Fulton, and Mrs. Joe Latchford, Shelbina; nieces and nephews.
--He was also a member of St. Michael Catholic Church at Hagers Grove, Mo.
--Funeral services were today (Wednesday) at 9 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Shelbina with Msgr. Joseph Bugler officiating with burial in Shelby Memorial Cemetery at Shelbyville.
--Eagan and Greening Funeral Home, Shelbina, had charge of arrangements.
