"Austin(sic) Herbert Allen, the sixteen month old child of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Allen, who has been ill for some time, died at 1:30 o'clock this morning. The funeral of the little fellow was held this afternoon at 4 o'clock from the family residence, 248 Cedar street, Rev. H. W. Van Hook officiating, and interment was made in the Biloxi cemetery. A number of the friends of the family attended the last rites of the deceased."
Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Records, Book 10, pg 147: Curtis was 1 year, 3 months, 23 days old when he died at his home, 248 Cedar St., Biloxi, from "organic heart lesions and bronchitis". He was the son of Charles Allen and Ruby Terry both Alabama natives.
