J. A. Ramsey was a Dairy Farmer most of his adult life. He was an avid domino player. J. A. married the love of his life, Amar Sue Davis on 26 April 1939 in Sulphur Bluff, Hopkins County, Texas. He and Amar Sue had two daughters, Martha, and Linda, and five sons, James, Bobby, Michael, William, and Dennis all of whom loved him dearly. All those who knew him sorely miss him.
