Leo was born in Kiel on Nov. 17, 1929, son of the late Adam and Mary Dorn Faust. He attended Kiel Schools.
Leo was employed as a concrete finisher for various businesses in the area including, Seehauer Construction, Vinton Construction and Streu Construction in Manitowoc until his retirement.
He was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Kiel.
Leo enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing cards, driving and joking around with his family and friends.
Survivors include one daughter, Germaine (Dennis) Breit of Kiel; one son, Lloyd Faust of De Pere; seven grandchildren, Chadd Breit, Kelvin (Sue) Faust, Amelia Breit, Mary Faust, Rocky Faust, Julie (Jason) Bamman, and Barry Briet; and three great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Austin and Angelina. He is furthered survived by five sisters, Sr. Phyllis Faust, Sr. Rita Faust, Gertrude (Wilfred) Heimann, Margaret (Edwin) Steinert, and Jane Ludowissi; his twin brother, Leon Faust; and four sisters-in-law, Cyrilla Faust, Rogene (Clarence) Faust, Natalie Faust and Imelda Faust.
He was preceded in death by five brothers, two sisters, one great-grandson, one infant child, two brothers-in-law and two sisters-in-law.
A Funeral Mass for Leo will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 13, at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Kiel, with the Rev. Loren Nys S.D.S. officiating. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery.
Friends may call at the Meiselwitz-Vollstedt Funeral Home, 815 Sixth St., Kiel, on Friday, Nov. 12, from 4 to 8 p.m. and at the funeral home on Saturday from 9 to 10:30 a.m. when brief family rites will be held.
Leo's family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Calumet Homestead Rehabilitation Center for the wonderful care given to him and to Rev. Loren Nys S.D.S., friends and relatives who came to visit him.
