Shirley A. Weaver, 91, of Middleburg and formerly of McClure, passed away at 7:51 p.m., Thursday, July 7, 2016, at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.
Born Dec. 5, 1924, in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late Gertrude E. (Zook) and Charles F. Goss.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy R. Weaver, who died on June 21, 2012; siblings, Percy, Lawrence, Kenneth, and Richard Goss, Mildred Roush, and Ruth Goss; and a son-in-law, Charles Kratzer.
She is survived by her children, Keith L. Weaver and wife, Theresa, of Indiana, and Sharon A. Kratzer, of Middleburg, four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and siblings, Dorothy Goss and Beryle Wiser, both of McClure.
Shirley attended Lewistown High School. She was a member of the First Church of the Brethren.
A viewing will be held from noon to 1 p.m. on Monday, July 11 at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Burnham, 108 First Ave. A graveside service will immediately follow at Samuel's Cemetery, Samuel's Church Road, McClure, with Reverend Douglas Sherlock officiating. Memorials in Shirley's memory may be made to: First Church of the Brethren, 134 Shaw Ave., Lewistown, PA 17044.
