The El Reno American El Reno, Oklahoma 10 Jul 1958, Thu • Page 5 Haynes Rites Set Friday Afternoon Walter Haynes, 718 W. Wade, passed away Tuesday at an Oklahoma City hospital alter a brief illness. He was 71. Born July 14, 1886, in Sweet Springs, Mo. Mr. Haynes moved here with his family in 1892. The retired farmer was a World War I veteran and a member of El Reno American Legion post 34. Survivors include a son, Leonard Haynes of Guthrie: three brothers, Ernest Haynes, 514 Sunset, and J. L. and Claude Haynes, both living southwest of El Reno; and three grandchildren. Services will be held at the First Baptist church Friday at 2 p.m., with Rev. Jack Carroll officiating. Graveside rites will be provided at El Reno cemetery by the American Legion, and interment will be under the direction of the Benson funeral home.
