(Marble) M.S. Carolettae MONYPENNY uxoris dilectissimae Hoc posint monumentum confinx moestissimus. Underneath are deposited the remains of Charlotte wife of the Reverend Phillips Monypenny A.M. of Maytham Hall in this Parish and Vicar of Hadlow in this County, second daughter of Sir Edward DERING of Surrenden -Dering in this county, the sixth Baronet by his 2nd wife Deborah daughter of John WINCHESTER of Nethersole in this County Esquire died XII November in MDCCCXXVI aged LXIV years. Underneath are also deposited the remains of the above Phillips Monypenny who died January the IV in MDCCCXLI aged LXXVIII years. A shield of arms below as follows. Quarterly 1 & 4 Monypenny. 2 Cathcart, 3 Blackwell . Impaling Quarterly 1 & 4 arg a fess az in chief 3 torteaux gules (Dering). 2 & 3 or a saltire sa.
