Max was born November 11, 1956 in New Castle to L. Max and Annabelle Miers Huffman. After attending Connersville High School, he enlisted in the United States Marines and later earned his Associates Degree in electrical engineering from Ivy Tech. On December 13, 1997, he was married in Metamora to the former Deborah A. Cummins. For the last five years, he had worked at Park 100 Foods in Morristown as a maintenance supervisor. Max also operated Max-Way Electrical and was known for his meticulous workmanship. After studying at Growing Branches for Christ and Trinity Worship Center, Max became an ordained minister. His love for the Lord led him to spend time in prisons leading His-Way Ministries for Christ-Centered Recovery. Max was passionate about sharing with others and serving the Lord. He especially enjoyed participating in a Tuesday morning prayer group. Max had a passion for motorcycles and recently had his old Suzuki racing bike restored.
Survivors include his wife: Deborah Huffman; his daughter and son-in-law: Adrienne and Cale Tressler, all of Connersville; a son: Lowell Maxwell Huffman, II and his girlfriend Abigail Timme, both of Indianapolis; two step-sons: Jerry L. Moore, III and Austin D. Moore, both of Connersville; his mother and step-father: Annabelle and Doug Noah, of Palm Harbor, FL; a sister: Darlena Roberts, of Connersville; three brothers: Chris Huffman and his wife Phyllis, of Everton; Brad Huffman and his wife Kristin, of St. Peters, Missouri; and Dane Huffman, of Connersville; a granddaughter: Claire Tressler; several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death is his father and brother-in-law: Ronnie Roberts.
