Beloved daughter of Patrick and Mary Agnes (née Meers) Connors; devoted sister of Sister M. Agnes Patrice Connors, SSND.

Sister Mary Agnesine Connors,SSND, a former parochial school principal in Baltimore and Annapolis, died of cancer March 8 at Maria Health Care Center in the Woodbrook secton of Baltimore County. She was 73.

Born Dorothy Connors in Stoneham, Mass, she entered the School Sisters of Notre Dame in 1949 and professed her first vows in 1952.

Sister Agnesine's initial assignment, in 1949, was teaching at St. Ann's School on Greenmount Avenue. Sister also taught at St. Mary's in Govans. In 1963, she received a bachelor's degree from the College of Notre Dame. In 1971, she received a master's degree in elementary education and guidance from Villanova University.

Her assignments included three years as a principal and superior at Our Lady of Fatima in East Baltimore. From 1976 to 1984 Sister was grade school principal at St. Mary's in Annapolis. She was a director of pastoral care at Good Samaritan Nursing Center from 1995 to 2001.

Sister Agnesine is survived by a brother, James Connors of Burlington, Mass.; a sister, Sister Agnes Patrice of San Felipe, Chile, who also is a member of School Sisters of Notre Dame; and several nieces and nephews.
