Fred A. Gardner, 65, New Middletown, died Thursday, Oct. 29, 2009, at University Hospital in Louisville.
Born May 14, 1944, in New Amsterdam, he was the son of the late William and Mary Helen Gardner.
He was a retired construction worker for Hughes Construction and also worked for Gohmann Construction.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Billie J. Gardner.
Survivors include a son, Pat Allen Gardner, and two sisters, Lorean Fowler of Corydon and Joyce Hickman of Shelbyville.
Funeral: Monday, Nov. 2, at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon with burial in the New Middletown United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Officiant: The Rev. Ted Chalk.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the WHAS Crusade for Children through the New Middletown Volunteer Fire Department.
