BURLINGTON — Mr. Billy Lee Fogleman, 75, of 305 Williamson St., Burlington, died at his residence on Monday, Aug. 13, 2007, at 8:24 p.m.
A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of Linda Isley Fogleman, who survives, and the son of Irvin Lee Fogleman and Eva Roach Fogleman, both deceased. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He worked for Western Electric and retired from Lucent Technologies, Guilford Center, after 38 years of service. He was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. He attended the Burlington Assembly of God.
In addition to his wife, survivors include two daughters, Karen F. Warren Hatcher and husband, Rod, of Winston-Salem and Sharon (Sherri) L. Fogleman of Charlotte; two sons, Keith S. Fogleman and wife, Sue, of Lawrenceville, Ga., and Kevin L. Fogleman and wife, Ann, of Burlington; one stepson, Michael W. Vaughn and wife, Jennifer, of Graham; six grandchildren, Elizabeth Warren, Christopher Fogleman, Stewart Fogleman, Lindsey Fogleman, Shanna Fogleman and Michael Fogleman; two stepgrandchildren, Ashley Vaughn and Isley Vaughn; and three brothers, Don Fogleman and wife, Gayle, and Al Fogleman and wife, Cookie, all of Burlington, and Steve Fogleman and wife, Carrie, of Swepsonville. Also surviving is the mother of Billy's children, Mrs. Patricia S. Fogleman.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert W. Fogleman and Rich-ard C. Fogleman and one sister, Betty F. Phillips.
The funeral will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Thursday, Aug. 16, 2007, at 11 a.m. by the Rev. Howard Thompson. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Mortuary in Burlington today, Aug. 15, 2007, from 6 until 8 p.m. At other times they will be at the residence.
Pallbearers will be Christopher Fogleman, Stewart Fogleman, Michael Fogleman, Bryant Fogleman, Chad Fogleman, Travis Handy, Rodney Pitts and David Phillips.
