Raymond D. Aldridge served as a Private in the 154th Depot Brigade, United States Army during World War I.

He was a son of Jacob Elmer Aldridge and Lela Maude (Martin) Aldridge.

He enlisted in the U.S. Army on December 13, 1917 at Columbus Barracks, Ohio.

He first served in the 161st Depot Brigade to February 7, 1918.

He then served in the 281st Aero Squadron to May 28, 1918.

He then served in the 87th Aero Squadron to July 3, 1918.

He then served in Company E, 304th Division Supply Train to July 13, 1918.

He then served in the 9th Company, 154th Depot Brigade to September 9, 1918.

He then served in Company C, 72nd U.S. Infantry Regiment to October 3, 1918.

His last assignment was in the Supply Company, 72nd U.S. Infantry Regiment to the time of his discharge from the Army.

He received his discharge from the Army on February 20, 1919 at Camp Meade, Maryland.

He was originally from Chambersburg, Pennsylvania.

He was interred in the Gettysburg National Cemetery on December 28, 1931.
