Christian A. Guengerich, 69, ...died at 1:45 p.m. yesterday in Morton Health Care Center, where he was admitted Tuesday.
A plumber, he worked at C. H. Rein & Son Plumbing of Morton 28 years, retiring in November 1976. He was a member of Plumber's Local 63. He was a charter member of Advent Lutheran Church serving on its first church council and building committee. He also was a member of Kennell Lake Sportsman's Club, where he served as a former trustee and board member.
Born Jan. 2, 1914 in Birch Run, Mich. to John and Frederica Schick Guengerich, he married Elvina Aberle Dec. 10, 1939 in Washington.
Surviving are his wife; one daughter, Mrs. David (Janice) Earley of Kewanee; three grandchildren; three brothers, Peter of Manito, Ezra of Green Valley and John of Mackinaw; and two sisters, Mrs. Levi (Lena) Staker of Morton and Mrs. Barbara Roeglin of Saginaw, Mich. One grandchild, two sisters and three brothers preceded him in death.
Services ....burial will be in Roberts Cemetery....
