Amos, along with his parents, sister, Eliza, and nephew, George sailed to America in 1851.
He stayed in St. Louis, Missouri until after his father's death. After he married Naomi, they moved to Kansas and settled in the Leavenworth area.
In 1886, after Naomi died, Amos married Mary GEORGE. Mary was a widow, previously married to Andrew ANGELL, with whom she had three daughters.
In 1913, Mary died in February and Amos passed in April. Both died in Texas and were trasported back to Leavenworth (Co.), Kansas for burial.
